The Most Important Lessons I Learned From University Presidents

I’ve had the privilege to work with university presidents who were strategic thinkers, powerful communicators, and deeply mission-driven leaders.

From each of them, I learned something different:

From one, I learned discipline.
From another, I learned patience.
From another, I learned how to frame difficult decisions with clarity.

But the most important lesson was simple:
The president sets the tone for the entire institution.

Watching great presidents lead shaped how I approach every major responsibility today.
