The Most Important Lessons I Learned From University Presidents
I’ve had the privilege to work with university presidents who were strategic thinkers, powerful communicators, and deeply mission-driven leaders.
From each of them, I learned something different:
• From one, I learned discipline.
• From another, I learned patience.
• From another, I learned how to frame difficult decisions with clarity.
But the most important lesson was simple:
The president sets the tone for the entire institution.
Watching great presidents lead shaped how I approach every major responsibility today.
