What I Tell Young Leaders Starting Their Careers in Athletics or Higher Education

When I speak with young professionals, I tell them something few people told me early on:

You don’t have to know everything to start. You just have to care enough to keep learning.

Leadership is not about the corner office or the title. It’s about the way you treat people, the trust you build, and the effort you give when no one is watching.

If you focus on consistency, character, and work ethic, the opportunities will follow. They always do.
