Athletics is one of the most powerful platforms for developing character, resilience, and leadership. My work in collegiate athletics has shown me just how transformational sports can be when programs are built on integrity, accountability, and a student-first philosophy. Strong athletics leadership means setting high standards, supporting coaches, enhancing student-athlete experience, and building programs that reflect the institution’s values.

Leadership in athletics also requires navigating complex challenges — from resource management to performance expectations to NIL-era demands. I’ve always believed that successful programs are built on relationships and culture, not just wins and losses. When student-athletes feel supported academically, personally, and competitively, they flourish. My goal has always been to create environments where they can succeed in every area of life, not just on the field.
