Leadership, Accountability, and Growth: Lessons from My Time at St. John Bosco
In leadership, there are moments that define not only outcomes—but character.
My time serving as President & CEO of St. John Bosco High School was one of the most meaningful chapters of my career. It was a period defined by rapid change, complex challenges, and ultimately, measurable institutional growth.
When I arrived at Bosco in July 2020, the school—like many across the country—was navigating uncertainty. Enrollment pressures, operational challenges, and the broader disruption of COVID required immediate action and long-term vision.
Within weeks, we implemented a full-scale outreach effort to reconnect with families and stabilize enrollment. Through a focused, mission-driven strategy, we were able to grow enrollment significantly and reestablish momentum for the school.
But leadership is not defined only by success—it is defined by how you navigate adversity.
Like many institutions, Bosco faced challenges that extended beyond day-to-day operations. In those moments, my approach remained consistent:
Lead with transparency
Support strong financial oversight
Prioritize the long-term health of the institution
Make decisions rooted in mission, not convenience
That included supporting financial review processes, strengthening internal accountability, and ensuring the school was positioned for long-term sustainability.
In leadership, difficult decisions are inevitable. What matters is how you respond—with integrity, clarity, and a commitment to doing what is right for the organization.
Today, I remain proud of what was accomplished during that time:
Enrollment growth during a period of national decline
Strengthened organizational structure and accountability
Expanded visibility and brand positioning
A continued focus on student success and mission alignment
Every leadership experience brings lessons. My time at St. John Bosco reinforced what I believe at my core:

As I continue my work in higher education and organizational leadership, those lessons remain central to how I lead—focused on building strong teams, driving sustainable growth, and aligning mission with execution.
